Church, what should it look like? Lets take a look at the start of the church.
Acts 2:42 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.
From this verse 4 things stand out.
“Continued steadfastly in the apostles doctrine”
They studied the teachings of the Apostles, in other words they studied God’s Word.
“Fellowship”
Fellowship, understanding each other and needs. Spending time with fellow believers is important. We are not perfect (thus the reason for Christ) but we do need to fellowship together.
“Breaking of Bread”
Communion! When the church gathered in the New Testament times the wold partake in communion. This too should be an important part of our fellowship today.
“Prayers”
Praying for fellow believers. Seeking God’s guidance. See John 17:1-16 as an example of prayer.
These are important things our church should be doing today, is your church doing this every Sunday?
